The Centre for Medical Education in Context [CenMEDIC] is dedicated to using knowledge and skills to support the development of medical education that is sensitive to context and to local needs and conditions.

We believe in listening to colleagues, in sharing what we know, and ensuring that we help to catalyse effective and sustainable independent systems and processes that are tailored to the problem, the potential and the context.

Students now studying for the FAIMER-Keele-CenMEDIC Master’s degree

The new Master’s degree in Health Professions Education: Assessment and Accreditation started in April 2013. The degree is presented by FAIMER in partnership with Keele Medical School and CenMEDIC in the United Kingdom.

Students from around the world have already completed two units on the Foundations of Assessment and Blueprinting, and are having lively debates on the unit forum.

They have completed a Library Activity and received personalised feedback, as well as embarking on their first major Tutor-Marked Assignment.

Fourteen more units, as well as formative and summative assessments will follow this year.

It will take one year to gain a Certificate, two years for a Diploma and three years for the full Master’s degree.
