Professor Janet Grant: Emeritus Professor of Education in Medicine, The Open University
Janet is an educational psychologist specialising in medical education research and development. She is a Special Adviser to The World Federation for Medical Education and was a foundation member of the UK regulatory body for postgraduate medical education: the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board whereshe was the Chair of its Curriculum Sub-Committee, which set standards for and approved curricula for all postgraduate training programmes. Janet is an honorary fellow of The Royal College of General Practitioners, and the Royal College of Physicians and an honorary member of the Royal College of Radiologists. She is a member of the Joint Academic Standards Board of the Bar Council. Janet is Visiting Professor at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry, UK. She has special interests in regulation, educational development, continuing professional development and curriculum.
Mrs. Heather Owen: Independent Project Associate
Heather is a registered nurse by training and has worked in medical education research and development with Janet for more than 10 years. Heather has special expertise in distance learning design, qualitative research methods, surveys and literature reviews.
Mrs. Joanne Rew: Independent Administrative Associate
Jo brings high-level administrative and organisational skills to projects and to our distance learning provision. She has worked in medical education for over 10 years and specialises in office management, distance learning administration, external communications and student support.
Dr. Rodney Gale: Management Associate
Rodney was formerly Director of Research Support at the Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust. He is a scientist with a London Business School MBA. He specialises in change management, research governance and business processes.. He runs our work on selection and medical career advice using Sci59, an on-line psychometric testing instrument.
