Team-based Medical Education Development Workshop. Bethel Medical School, Addis Ababa, November 2012
Bethel Medical School, Addis Ababa was the venue for a 4-day workshop which addressed curriculum, assessment, teaching and learning, simulation, quality and distance learning. Dr Yigeramu, Dr Legesse and Professor Gordon Williams were key in organising and hosting the event. The meeting was attended by participants from Bethel and Yekatit 12 Medical Schools, as well as jhpiego. Everyone greatly enjoyed a visit to the Bethel Children’s Village orphanage. The teaching team included Prof Janet Grant [CenMEDIC], Dr Catherine O’Keeffe [London University], Dr Tony Errichetti [New York College of Osteopathic Medicine], Dr Susan Jamieson [University of Glasgow], Dr Jack Boulet [FAIMER, Philadelphia], Patricia le Rolland [Quality and Standards adviser, UK], and Dr Rupert Levy [student learning adviser, UK].
